to Election Day, Tue Nov 3
2022/2024 comparisons use completed early-voting days only — today's count isn't compared until the day is done. Figures can shift slightly when the county restates a prior day.
*Simple estimate only: current total divided by days elapsed, multiplied by all 12 early-voting days. Not a forecast or model — actual days vary a lot (the final Saturday, for example, is historically a high-turnout day), so treat this as a rough, mechanical extrapolation, not a prediction.

Bexar County's own turnout page doesn't allow other sites to read it directly from your browser (no CORS), so this page's own server fetches it on a schedule and republishes it here. View the county's original page. Mail ballots aren't included — see "Voting by mail" above.

Compiled day-by-day from each county's own reporting. Bexar matches this site's own verified figures exactly. Independently spot-checked against press: Tarrant Day 1 (50,409) matches NBC DFW exactly; Houston Day 1 is within ~60 votes of Fox 26 Houston's 104,600; Austin Day 1 is close to TPR/KUT's "nearly 41,000." Dallas Day 1 (77,853) is about 2.3% higher than the 76,079 reported same-day by Dallas County and multiple outlets — likely a later revision, but not independently confirmed at that exact figure. Day 6 Bexar (40,720) is independently confirmed against this site's own live scrape (263,353 cumulative minus 222,633 through Day 5 = 40,720, exact match); Day 6 Austin/Travis (24,575) is as-reported, not yet independently cross-checked. Day 6 Dallas (36,269) comes from DallasEarlyVote.com's own live daily chart data, read directly, not yet cross-checked against Dallas County's own figures. Day 6 Tarrant (51,080) comes directly from Tarrant County's own "Early Voting In Person Totals" PDF, timestamped Oct 24, 2026 9:12 PM — the same report also shows Days 1, 3, and 5 matching our stored figures exactly, with Days 2 and 4 off by one vote (likely a minor restatement). Day 6 Houston (67,242) comes from Harris County's own per-location daily report (75 locations, matching the county's own published location count); the same report's Days 1-5 are within single digits of our stored figures, and Day 5 (95,108) matches exactly — we checked the Texas Secretary of State's own portal first, but it's shown a confirmed, significant undercount for Harris specifically (443,949 vs. the county's own 479,409 through Day 5), so we used the county's direct report instead. Days 2-5 for Austin/Dallas aren't independently re-verified here.

2018 & 2022 figures: compiled from Bexar County Elections Department daily reports; spot-checked against contemporaneous press coverage (exact match on 2022 Day 1, close match on other verifiable days — not independently confirmed cell-by-cell). 2026 figures: this page's own scheduled scrape of earlyvotecountsdual.bexar.org, live. 2020 & 2024 (presidential, longer early-voting window) are left out of this table since they aren't directly comparable day-for-day to a 12-day midterm cycle.
Full historical comparison, 2018–2026
Every election we have daily in-person data for, side by side. 2020 and 2024 were presidential elections with an 18-day early voting period (vs. 12 days for a midterm), so later rows are blank for midterm years — that's not missing data, those years' early voting had already ended.

Turnout map
Circle size shows cumulative in-person votes at each location, for the day selected above. Positions come from Bexar County's own GIS data; matched to the turnout table by name, so a handful of sites may not match and won't appear.
Turnout by home precinct
Cumulative ballots cast so far, by each voter's home precinct (where they're registered to vote, not where they cast their ballot — Bexar's early voting locations are countywide, so anyone can vote at any site). Built from the county's own daily voter rosters (in-person and mail, summed day by day). Darker shading means more ballots cast by voters who live in that precinct.
Built from Bexar County's own daily early-voting and mail-ballot rosters, required to be public by Texas Election Code Sec. 87.121 — posted daily here. Each day's roster lists only that day's voters, so totals are accumulated here day by day; a day we haven't processed yet won't be reflected. Only per-precinct counts are kept — no individual voter information is stored or published.
Where people are voting
Cumulative in-person votes cast at each early voting location, mapped to the precinct that location sits in — this shows where the voting activity is physically happening, regardless of where those voters live or are registered. Lighter yellow means fewer votes cast nearby; brighter orange means more.
Built by matching this page's live site-level turnout totals to their location, then attributing each location's votes to the precinct polygon it falls within (Bexar County's own GIS precinct boundaries). A handful of locations may not match and won't be reflected. Mail ballots aren't included here since they have no physical voting location.
How 2026 compares to past general elections
The "turnout %" you'll see quoted everywhere is just ballots cast divided by registered voters. Here's what's actually behind that number for the last three general elections, straight from each year's official certified summary report.
Nov 5, 2024
Registered voters: 1,295,920
Total ballots cast: 763,198
- Early voting (in-person): 576,639
- Mail (absentee): 36,167
- Election Day: 150,392
Nov 8, 2022
Registered voters: 1,230,335
Total ballots cast: 543,164
- Early voting (in-person): 359,206
- Mail (absentee): 32,564
- Election Day: 151,394
Nov 6, 2018
Registered voters: 1,104,746
Total ballots cast: 551,896
- Early voting (in-person + mail): 420,191
- Election Day: 131,705
2018's report doesn't split mail out from early voting separately, so that card shows them combined — everything else is from each year's official, certified Summary Results Report.

About the data
- Early & Election Day voting locations: live from Bexar County's public GIS feeds (
maps.bexar.org/arcgis/rest/services/EL/), fetched directly in your browser. Not official — always confirm at elections.bexar.gov. - In-person turnout: scraped from Bexar County's own public turnout page (
earlyvotecountsdual.bexar.org) on a schedule, since that page doesn't allow direct browser-to-browser fetches from other sites. Numbers are only as fresh as the last scheduled run — check the "as of" line on the turnout section. - Early voting dates & hours: Texas Public Radio reporting and Bexar County Elections, Oct 2026.
- Historical turnout: official Bexar County summary reports, 2022 and 2024 general elections.
- Voter ID rules: Texas Secretary of State.
- Registration check: Bexar County Elections / VoteTexas.gov.
- Wait times: Bexar County's own live reporting system (found via their public "Election Wait Times" map), fetched directly in your browser. Not something we calculate — accuracy depends on how often each location updates it.
- Race candidates: Wikipedia-sourced pages for a handful of contested countywide races. Bexar County hasn't published a full sample ballot yet — we're not guessing at the rest.
The turnout numbers above are scraped and stored on this site's own server on a schedule (see "In-person turnout"); everything else — location search, the map, wait times — runs entirely in your browser and isn't sent anywhere except directly to Bexar County's own public servers. FAQ
Can I vote at any early voting location?
Yes — Bexar County is a countywide polling place county for early voting, so you can vote at any open early voting site regardless of your home precinct.
What about Election Day?
Confirm whether your precinct uses countywide vote centers for Election Day too — check the locator above with the "Election Day" toggle, or your voter registration lookup.
Is this official?
No. This is an independently built tracker. Vote center data comes live from Bexar County's own public map feeds, but counts, hours, and dates can change — always confirm anything time-sensitive directly with Bexar County Elections.
I found an error. How do I report it?
